Three Ageless Tips for Healthy Glowing Skin

What can we do today to look better tomorrow? Follow these three rules for healthy glowing skin, and we’ll continue to look gorgeous with each passing birthday:

  1. Exfoliate skin to remove dead cells and give skin a glow.
  2. Hydrate by using a good moisturizer and drinking around eight 8-ounce glaces of water daily.
  3. Protect against damage with sunscreen and antioxidants, both topically and by eating a healthy diet. Don’t forget to apply sun screen to your hands since they’re one of the first places to show signs of aging.

Inexpensive, high quality skin care products from companies like Neutrogena, Aveeno, and Dove can be very effective. Companies like these have the money and resources to extensively research their products and make sure they’re effective.

Don’t give up too soon! Be sure to give your skin care product enough time to work. In our fast-paced world, we all want results yesterday, but skin doesn’t work that like that. After all, it takes thirty days for a skin cell to turn over, so you have to be patient and give products time to affect the surface layer of the skin.

Robin is the wife of Dr. Phil, America’s popular TV host and psychologist.
This book reads more like a biography of Robin’s health conscience lifestyle than an authoritative guide to health care, but Robin offers useful information about living your happiest and healthiest life. I found it to be filled with very practical advise for the average health conscience person.

I was especially pleased with the ‘Answers From The Expert’ section, found at the end of each chapter. In these sections, Robin has interviewed quite an impressive collection of specialists, asking them to answer frequently asked questions concerning their respective field, such as skin care, nutrition, hormones, etc.

As important as any piece of advice offered in this book, is the way Robin encourages woman to be in charge of their own health, rather than allowing it to be on autopilot, or worse yet … allowing it to to be neglected. She is a very good example of how asking questions and doing research can pay back very high dividends as we care for our body.

    I read about you–and am totally impressed that you passed calculus with flying colors yet count on your fingers! I love it! I count on my fingers occasionally–but married the man who could do the calculus! Thank God!

    Appreciated your tips here. One more that is so important is to cleanse, tone, and moisture morning and night. It is while we sleep that our skin rebuilds itself. Going to bed with dirty skin neutralizes other healthy habits. The Wall Street Journal reports that 67% of Japanese women cleanse, tone and moisturize religiously every night, while only 17% of American women do. The Japanese women are known for their ageless beauty! American women feel they don’t have time–which is why so many look so much older than their actual age.
